Tachometer Testers

Our tachometer testers are used for testing and calibration of electrical and mechanical tachometer generators and indicators. Two tachometer testers are currently available; the single drive Tachometer Test Set, P/N 8401B, which is qualified to the requirements of  U.S. military specification MIL-T-26219 and our dual drive Mark 3 Tachometer Tester, P/N 8403B, which has reversible rotation and utilizes a precision closed loop drive system.  Unlike other tachometer testers that use an open loop system, the Mark 3 Tachometer Tester uses a closed loop drive system, which regulates the drive speed of the tachometer tester within plus or minus 1% of SET SPEED.  The Mark 3 Tachometer Tester was specifically designed to provide stable and precise low speeds in the 100 rpm region for items such as wheel tachometers while maintaining all the test capabilities required for two pole and four pole engine tachometers.
